Product Introduction:
Safely Observe the Sun and Protect Your Eyes

Datyson Solar Film:
Essentially a solar filter, but different from conventional solar filters. Astronomical telescopes must be equipped with a filtering device to observe the sun; otherwise, it can damage both your eyes and the equipment. The sun is extremely bright, and even with the solar film attached, it is easy to locate the sun in the telescope.

Datyson Solar Film:
Its actual name is "PET-coated aluminum foil film." It is referred to as "solar film" due to its association with the Datyson company, and astronomy enthusiasts commonly call it "Datyson Solar Film," meaning the film produced by Datyson. Within the industry, it is simply called "solar film," distinguishing it from Baader Solar Film. As a new product, the name "Datyson Solar Film" specifically refers to this type of film. It can be used for visual observation with the naked eye as well as for astrophotography.

Datyson Solar Film:
The main difference from traditional Baader film is that Datyson Solar Film allows you to see a red sun, whereas traditional Baader film shows a gray-white sun. The advantages of Datyson Solar Film include its durability and resistance to damage, making it suitable for long-term use in natural environments. It is particularly ideal for photography, as it can withstand wind and rain without issue. If the film gets dirty, it can be easily cleaned with a clean cloth or tissue, and it can even be washed with water without problems. In contrast, Baader film cannot be easily wiped or touched, as it is prone to damage. When used outdoors, strong winds or rain can easily cause it to tear, rendering it unusable. The drawback of Datyson Solar Film is that the film itself is very thin. Due to its laminated construction, small bubbles or minor surface scratches may appear after prolonged storage, but these are normal and do not affect its performance. The disadvantages of Baader film include its extreme thinness, which makes it prone to wrinkles, waves, or holes, directly impacting its usability.

Datyson Solar Film:
Unlike other similar products, Datyson Solar Film reduces light and harmful radiation without diminishing the contrast of the subject. This means that using Datyson Solar Film as a solar filter can achieve better image quality, even making it easy to record sunspot activity on the solar surface.

Datyson Solar Film comes in two versions:
The first-generation Datyson Solar Film has one shiny silver side and one black side. The second-generation Datyson Solar Film has shiny silver on both sides. Both versions feature a thickened design for a safe and secure observation experience. The product complies with ISO standards for solar filter film, protecting your eyes during solar observation. If any light leakage is detected before use, discontinue use immediately.

Note: If the film coating is damaged, do not use it to prevent eye injury.
